Dhaka: A child named Adil (11) died after drowning in the water of a pond in Kadmatli Mohammad Bagh area of ​​the capital.

On Tuesday (September 20) around 10 o’clock in the night, he was rescued unconscious and taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College (Dhamek) Hospital, where the doctor declared him dead.

The elder brother of deceased Adil. Shakeel said, their house is in Ramganj upazila of Lakshmipur. Currently, Kadmatoli lives in West Mohammadbagh area. Adil studied in class III at the local Majeda Model School.

He also said that after coming from school at noon, Adil left his bag and did not return home. He was not found even after searching in many places. Later around 8:30 pm I came to know through people that he was going to bathe in a pond at the head of Mohammad Bagh Paka in the afternoon. Later that night I went there and found him floating in the pond.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police Outpost Incharge (Inspector) Md. Bachchu Mia said that the body has been kept in the morgue for autopsy.
