A man named Shahjahan Mia (50) was killed by a cricket stamp given to him by his grandson in Muktagacha, Mymensingh. Grandson Farid Mia (25) was arrested by the police in this incident.
The incident took place in Hatil Madhyapara of Ghoga Union of the upazila on Tuesday (September 20) afternoon.

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Muktagacha Police Station Russell Rehan Chowdhury confirmed this information to Jago News.
According to the police and local sources, about four years ago, Shahjahan Mia, grandson of Shahjahan Mia and grandson Farid Mia, went to Tabligh Chilla. There Shah Jahan slapped Farid at one stage of the argument. The matter was later settled locally.
Shahjahan Mia was returning home on a bicycle with a goat on Tuesday afternoon. At that time, Farid hit Shah Jahan Mia on the head with the cricket stamp in his hand and ran away. Shahjahan Mia was seriously injured.
Later locals rescued Shahjahan Mia and took him to Muktagachha Upazila Health Complex. The doctor on duty asked him to be transferred to Mymensingh Medical College (MMEC) Hospital. Shahjahan Mia died at around 6:30 pm on reaching near Mamek.
SI Russel Rehan Chowdhury also said that the killer Farid Mia has been arrested. The body has been kept at Momek Hospital mortuary. Preparations are underway to file a case.
