Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was allegedly harassed at Vadodara airport in Gujarat. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers harassed Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his state.
News Times of India.
Aam Aadmi Party (UP) chief Kejriwal himself made the complaint on Tuesday (September 20). “When I landed at Vadodara airport, around 30-40 people shouted ‘Modi, Modi, Modi’ in front of me,” he said. The situation in Gujarat is such that BJP is going to be in big trouble.
Kejriwal also claimed that this incident was intentional. He also said that when the leaders and workers of his party AAP countered the slogans of the BJP workers, military tension was created in the airport area. Eventually the situation was brought under control with police intervention.
Kejriwal came to address a town hall in Vadodara as part of a campaign to reach out to various sections of the society ahead of the elections in December this year. Regarding the harassment, he also said that the BJP and the Congress had ‘combined’ to abuse him. It is said that there are 66 seats in urban areas (Gujarat) which the BJP has never lost. But this time, they will be in trouble. They will not win all these seats (in the upcoming assembly elections).
The Aam Aadmi Party leader also alleged that the BJP and the Congress are abusing him. These two parties seek opportunities again and again because they talk about the welfare of the people of Gujarat.
Kejriwal also said that BJP supporters never raise slogans against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi when he visits Gujarat. This is because both parties are united against me and AAP. Both BJP and Congress come together to abuse me. In coming days Congress and BJP will field national level leaders in Gujarat who will abuse me.
Aam Aadmi Party leader Kejriwal claimed that Gujarat will be freed from the equation of BJP vs Congress for the last 30 years. His team will fight directly against the lotus and ocher forces. If the Aam Aadmi Party comes to power, the illegal trade in liquor will be completely stopped in Gujarat. Arvind Kejriwal also assured to resume the old pension scheme for retired government employees.
