Pabna Correspondent: Miscreants publicly shot dead an Awami League leader named Saidur Pramanik (50) in Pabna Sadar Upazila. The house of the deceased is in Kavalipara area of ​​the same union. He is a solar panel trader by profession.

The deceased Saidur Pramanik is the son of deceased Haran Malitha of Charpratappur Kablipara of Hemayetpur. He was an executive member of Pabna Municipal Awami League, said Pabna Municipal Awami League President Advocate Taslim Hasan Sumon.

According to the deceased’s family, local residents and the police, Saidur was sitting with some people in a tea shop at Najur Mor just a few minutes before Friday prayers. At this time some miscreants surrounded them. While his companions ran away, the miscreants shot Saidur dead.

The police initially believe that he was killed due to a previous dispute over the last UP elections and land in Char Pratapur.

Meanwhile, several local sources said that the deceased Saidur Pramanik is a distant cousin of the former chairman of Hemayetpur Union Alauddin Malitha. There was a dispute with him since the last Union Parishad election. Saidur was defeated in that election by contesting as a rebel candidate of the party. Besides, there was a dispute with Alauddin Malitha over several lands in Char Pratappur area.

Pabna Additional Superintendent of Police Masood Alam said that everyone was busy praying in the mosque at the time of the incident. Saidur was outside the mosque. Someone shot him and ran away. He also said that the police went to the spot after receiving the information.
