Last Tuesday, a 17-year-old girl filed a rape complaint against Lamishan in Gaushala Police Circle in the presence of her guardian. The girl was then sent for a medical checkup. Kathmandu Valley Police Chief Ravindra Prasad Dhanuk confirmed this last Wednesday.
After that, the Nepalese police started a quick investigation. Due to which arrest warrant was issued against this leg spinner. Lamichane is currently playing West Indies in the Caribbean Premier League.
The Cricket Association of Nepal called an emergency meeting on Wednesday after the arrest warrant was issued. Lamichane was later banned.
According to the information of Nepal Police, Lamishane took the girl to Bhaktapur on August 22. At night, the girl wanted to go back to her hostel but was prevented by Lamishane. But the girl was forced to stay in the hotel with Lamishan as the hostel was closed by eight o’clock at night. Although the girl wanted to live in a separate room, Lamichane forced her to stay in her room. Then he raped the girl twice.
