Rani’s death has also touched the country’s cricket community. The third Test between England and South Africa has been postponed due to Rani’s death. This has been confirmed in a message from the England Cricket Board (ECB).

The test between the two teams was supposed to be played on the ground on Thursday. The toss is done accordingly. Where England won the toss and decided to field. However, on the first day due to rain, not a single ball was hit on the field.

However, when Queen Elizabeth died at 6:30 p.m. England time, the ECB announced the suspension of all types of cricket held in England on Friday. In its statement, the ECB said,

‘Due to the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Friday’s match between England and South Africa and the scheduled Rachael Haye Flint Trophy will not take place. The schedule after Friday will be announced by the ECB.

Protea management also agreed with such decision of ECB. In that case, even if ECB wants to drop this match, Proteas have no problem. They will decide through discussion.

Meanwhile, the ECB said that the spectators who bought tickets for the match are not disappointed. They also said that they will refund the second day ticket price to the visitors.
