Allah created night and day. Of all the days, he preferred Friday or Friday. The special honor and dignity of this day is described in the Qur’an and Hadith.
The special status of Friday : Friday has a special status with Almighty Allah.
This day is especially prestigious for the ummah of the last Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). On the authority of Huzaifa Ibnul Yaman (R.A.), Rasulullah (S.A.W.) said, Allah Ta’ala kept the status of Jumu’ah unknown to the previous nations. So the Jews set Saturday. And Christians set Sunday. Then we come. To us He revealed the dignity of the day of Jumu’ah. (Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 856)
Five characteristics of Friday : The day of Juma is considered very important since the beginning of creation. Narrated by Abu Lubaba bin Abdul Munjir (RA), Rasulullah (SAW) mentioned five characteristics of Friday. That is – one. Allah created Adam (A.S.) on this day. Two. Allah Almighty sent Adam (AS) down to earth on this day. Three. Adam (as) died on this day. Four. There is a time in this day, when a servant will ask Allah for anything, He will grant it. As long as he does not pray anything haram. Five. Doomsday will take place on this day. (Ibn Majah, Hadith: 895)
The reward of the entire year : Bathing on Friday and going to the mosque earlier is a very rewarding act. On the authority of Aws bin Aws Saqafi (RA), the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, “Whoever performs a good ablution on Jumu’ah, goes to the mosque early and sits close to (the Imam) and listens attentively (to the sermon), for him is one step for every step. There will be reward for fasting and prayers of the year. (Abu Dawud, Hadith: 345)
The reward of entering the mosque first : It is very important to enter the mosque early on Friday and listen carefully to the sermon. The Prophet (PBUH) said, ‘Whoever takes a bath on Friday, then goes to the mosque first, is like sacrificing a camel. Whoever then goes to the mosque, it is as if he sacrificed a cow. And the one who entered next, as if he sacrificed a goat, the one who entered next as if he sacrificed a chicken, and the one who entered next as if he sacrificed an egg. Then when the imam came for the sermon, the angels began to listen to the discussion. (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 841)
Sins are forgiven : Narrated by Salman Farsi, Rasulullah (s.a.w.) said, ‘Whoever takes a bath on Friday, becomes purified as much as possible, uses oil, uses perfume from the house, then comes to the mosque, does not go forward between two worshippers. A certain number of prayers were offered, then when the imam began to speak he remained silent; Then Allah will forgive the sins of the time between his two Fridays. (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 883)
It is time to accept prayers on Friday : There is a time on Friday, when people pray to Allah and Allah accepts it. On the authority of Jaber (RA), Rasulullah (SAW) said, ‘If a Muslim prays to Allah for something good on Friday, Allah will give it to him. You search the time after eight. (Abu Dawud, Hadith Number: 1048)
On the authority of Jaber Ibn Abdullah (RA), the Prophet (PBUH) said, ‘There is a moment within the twelve hours of Jumu’ah, if a Muslim prays to Allah during this time, then Allah, the Exalted and Almighty, grants him. This moment you seek at the end of Ashar. (Abu Dawud, Hadith: 1048)
On the authority of Abu Darda Ibn Abu Musa Ash’ari (RA), he said, I heard my father say, he said, I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say, about the special moment of Friday, the prayer from the time the Imam sits on the pulpit. The time until the end is that special moment. (Abu Dawud, Hadith: 1049)
Conditions for acceptance of prayers: There are several conditions for acceptance of prayers.
Being free from association : No one can associate partners with Allah. Because prayer is a form of worship. It should be observed sincerely. It is mentioned in the Holy Qur’an, “Your Lord says, ‘Call upon Me and I will answer your call. Those who turn away from My worship in arrogance will enter Hell in disgrace.’ (Surah: Ghafir, verse: 60)
The Prophet (peace be upon him) mentioned in the Hadith Qudsi, Allah said, ‘I look forward to the partnership of all. Whoever does such a deed, associates with Me another person, I release him and also the object of the partner. ‘
Do not pray for sin or breakup : Rasul (pbuh) said, ‘The prayer of a servant is always accepted. If he does not pray for the severing of sinful deeds or kinship ties and does not hurry in the prayer. Was asked, to say in a hurry? He said, people say I prayed. I prayed again. But my prayer was not accepted. He became disheartened and gave up praying. (Muslim, Hadith: 6829)
Pray with firmness : Even if the prayer is not focused, that prayer is not accepted by Allah. Narrated by Abu Huraira (R.A.), Rasulullah (S.A.W.) said, ‘Supplicate to Allah with the firm belief that you will be accepted. Know that surely Allah does not accept the supplications of a heedless and numb heart. (Tirmidhi, Hadith: 3479)
