A road accident claimed the life of former Tata Group Chairman Cyrus Mistry. According to Indian media sources, Cyrus was returning to Mumbai from Ahmedabad on Sunday. On the way back, the accident took place at Charoty in Palghar, Maharashtra. He lost his life in that accident.

According to local sources, Cyrus’ car hit the divider on a bridge over Surya River. The former chairman of Tata Sons, Cyrus Mistry, died as a result. Two others were injured in the incident. It is known that they have been admitted to the hospital. According to police sources, the accident happened around 3 pm local time.

Cyrus joined the board of Tata Sons in 2006. Before him on the board was Cyrus’ father Pallonji Mistry, Cyrus joined the board of Tata Sons after his retirement. In 2012, he sat as the chairman of the Tata group. Because Ratan Tata stepped down from the post of chairman of the Tata Group that year. After that Cyrus came to the place Ratan Tata had left. In 2016, he was removed from the post of chairman of the Tata Group.
