In another market Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), the overall index fell by 74 points. As a result, after six consecutive working days of rise, the stock market index fell on Sunday.
Market participants consider this decline in the index as a price correction. They say that investors will take profits by selling shares after the rise, this is a normal process. There is nothing to be upset about.
According to DSE data, 47 crore 70 lakh 30 thousand 993 shares were traded in DSE on Sunday, the value of which is Tk 2 thousand 296 crore 39 lakh 2 thousand. 1 thousand 889 lakh 52 thousand taka was traded on the previous working day. That is, the transaction has increased by more than 400 million rupees compared to the previous day.
Shares of 375 companies were traded in DSE that day. Among them, the share price of 95 companies increased, 217 decreased, and the share and unit prices of 63 companies remained unchanged.
The main index of DSE, DSEX, fell by 18.67 points to 6,489 points on the day when the share prices of most companies increased. The DSES index increased by 1.16 points to 1,410 points and the DS-30 index decreased by 2.07 points to 2,303 points.
The shares of Beximco Limited were at the top of the transaction that day. It is followed by shares of Delta Life Insurance, LafargeHolcim, Orion Pharma, National Polymer, Unique Hotel, Eastern Housing, Orion Infusion, Bangladesh Shipping Corporation and Genex Infosys Limited.
The other capital market of the country Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) general index CASPI decreased by 74 points to 19 thousand 81 points. Shares of 301 companies were traded in this market. Among them, the share prices of 93 companies increased, 166 companies decreased and 42 companies’ share prices remained unchanged.
35 crore 91 lakh 3 thousand 710 shares were traded in CSE. The previous day, 65 crore 60 lakh 6 thousand 580 shares were traded.
