As Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere in North Bay of Bengal, light to moderate rain or thundershowers with gusty winds may occur at some parts of the country today. Moderate to very heavy rainfall is also possible. Rainfall trend may continue for next three days.
The weather forecast for the next 24 hours from this morning has said that light to moderate rain with gusty wind or thunder may occur in most places of Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and many places in Rajshahi and Khulna divisions.
Also moderate to very heavy rainfall may occur at some parts of the country.
Sylhet has received maximum rainfall of 116 mm in the last 24 hours till 6 am today. Also, 64 mm of rain was recorded in Kumarakhali, 62 mm in Srimangal, 53 mm in Mymensingh, 50 mm in Chittagong, 49 mm in Bogra, 35 mm in Rangpur and Netrakona and 32 mm in Maizdicourt. At that time, 16 millimeters of rain fell in Dhaka, according to the Meteorological Office.
