“The government is pushing the country towards violence by firing on opposition political programs. When the people of the country have a problem with one meal, then the ministers say that the country is heaven. The price of oil has been increased by Rs 50 (less than Rs 50) and reduced by Rs 5, which is nothing but a joke with the people. Failure to control commodity prices, disappearances and murders have been normalized by the government.
My Bangladesh Party (AB Party) leaders said this at a protest rally organized in front of the National Press Club in the capital on Saturday (September 3). AB Party Dhaka Metropolitan South organized a program to protest the failure to control commodity prices, disappearances and shootings in political programs.
At this time, the team’s joint convener Professor Dr. Major (retd.) Abdul Wahab Minar said, the country is suffering from corruption and misrule. Human patience has broken.
Member Secretary Mojibur Rahman Manju said that the government is not able to control the price of goods, it is not able to control corruption, but when people are protesting, they are being shot and killed. People at various responsible levels of the government are inciting political violence by saying ‘Khela Hobe’. We strongly condemn it. How can a country’s government destabilize the country? Awami League is doing this because they are not the government of the people. A Tabedar government is once again planning to come to power through elections. So today they are systematically killing people and pushing the country towards violence.
AB Party Dhaka Metropolitan South Convenor BM Nazmul Haque presided over and member secretary Anwar Sadat Tutul moderated the rally – Party Central Office Secretary Abdullah Al Mamun Rana, Finance Secretary Aminul Islam, Youth Party Senior Joint Convenor M Elias Ali, Metropolitan South Joint Convener Abdul Halim also spoke in the rally. Central and metropolitan leaders including Khokon.
A protest march was taken out after the rally. The procession passed through Topkhana, Paltan, Vijayanagar and ended at the central office.
