One person died in the 24 hours from Friday 8 am to Saturday 8 am due to Aedes mosquito-borne dengue disease. During this period, 245 new patients were identified.
Among them, 204 were admitted to various public and private hospitals in Dhaka and the remaining 41 were admitted to various hospitals outside Dhaka.
The Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health has informed this information in a circular.
According to the notification, 858 dengue patients are currently under treatment in various hospitals across the country. Out of this 739 patients are in Dhaka and 119 patients are admitted in different hospitals outside Dhaka.
According to the official report, from January 1 to September 3, 2022, a total of 6,692 patients were admitted to the hospital due to dengue. Among them, 54 thousand 509 people were admitted in Dhaka and 1 thousand 183 dengue patients were admitted outside Dhaka.
On the other hand, after treatment, 5 thousand 811 people have returned home with a discharge certificate from the hospital. Among them, 4 thousand 759 people are residents of Dhaka and the remaining 1 thousand 52 people are outside Dhaka.
One person died in the previous 24 hours till 8 am on Saturday. With this, the number of dengue deaths this year has reached 23.
