A tourist named Iman Ahmad (25) died after drowning in Jaflong of Goainghat upazila of Sylhet, one of the tourist centers of the country.

The deceased Imon Ahmad is the son of Swapan Mia, a resident of Hajipara area of ​​Subidbazar, Sylhet.

The incident took place in the Zero Point area of ​​tourist center Jaflong last Friday (September 2) afternoon.

It is known that they along with 12 friends came from Sylhet to Jaflong on Friday morning. Later, while swimming in the river, he drowned and was rescued unconscious and taken to the local health complex. From there, the doctor on duty declared the patient dead when he was taken to Ragib-Rabeya Medical College Hospital in Sylhet.

Jaflong tourist police in charge of the family of the deceased. Ratan Sheikh said that 12 youths including Emon came to visit. When they went swimming in the river at Jaflong Zero Point, Emon drowned. After much searching, he was rescued in the afternoon with the help of boatman Jamrud. Later he was first sent to the nearby Jaintapur Health Complex. He was later taken to another hospital from there.

Later, his death was confirmed through Suman Ahmed, the brother of the deceased.
