Three people were killed and 10 injured in road accidents in different parts of the country, including a sales officer of Sevenup Company in Faridpur’s Saltha.
Saltha (Faridpur) Correspondent said that a Nachimon carrying SevenUp overturned and a young man named Vipul Matubbar (30) was killed in Saltha, Faridpur. The accident took place on the Saltha-Nagarkanda road yesterday afternoon. The deceased is the son of Kabir Matubbar of Kandi village of Kaichail union of Vipul Nagarkanda upazila. He was working as a sales representative of Sevenup Company. Nachiman’s driver Suman was also injured in the incident.
SI Parimal Kumar Biswas of Saltha police station said that he was returning to Nagarkanda with Nachiman after selling and supplying Sevenup wholesale in Saltha market in the morning. On the way, the nachiman overturned while turning the road in front of Bhawal Purpopara Molya house. Vipul died on the spot after being buried under Nachiman. Following the family’s plea, the body was handed over without post-mortem.
According to Noakhali office, a teenager named Parvez (17) riding a covered van was killed in a road accident in Subarnachar of the district. Parvez is the son of Md Farooq of Bahura village of Nangalkot police station in Comilla. Farooq was also injured in this accident. The accident took place near Al-Amin Bazar on Sonapur-Chairman Ghat road of the upazila last Wednesday late night.
According to local sources, Parvez was going to Subarnachar from Sonapur with his father in a covered van when the wheel of the covered van got punctured at the spot. Losing control, they hit the back of the sand tractor standing on the side of the road and both of them were injured. Locals rescued them and took them to Noakhali General Hospital where the doctor on duty declared Parvez dead. Farooq has been sent to Dhaka for better treatment.

According to the Sylhet Bureau, an old man named Abu Talib was crushed under a pickup van in Habiganj’s Lakhai. The accident happened in the area near Vadikara BRAC office on Habiganj-Lakhai road yesterday morning.
The deceased is the son of deceased Abdul Hasim of Mashadia village of Abu Talib upazila. Lakhai Police Station OC Saidul Islam said that the police recovered the body. The deceased was mentally unstable.
Brahmanbaria Correspondent said that at least eight people were injured when a bus carrying passengers fell into a ditch in Budhanti Bus Stand area of ​​Vijaynagar Upazila. The accident happened yesterday afternoon on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway.
Khantihata Highway Police Station OC Sukhend Basu said that the Royal Super Paribahan passenger bus was going to Sylhet. While overtaking a lorry on the way, it crashed into a ditch on the side of the road. Eight passengers of the bus were injured. The injured were treated locally.
