Singra’s OC has received a written order to appear in court

The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Singra police station has received a written order from the court seeking to know the reason for not filing the chargesheet despite the death in the late case and fight in Natore.

OC Noor Alam told The Daily Star this information on Thursday.

Plaintiff’s lawyer. Saidur Rahman Saikat told Daily Star, ‘There was a dispute between Ripon Ali (30) and Azizul (55) regarding land in Hatiandah village of Singra Upazila. On May 21, Azizul Islam went with his sons to occupy Ripon’s place. At that time, Azizul Islam and his sons attacked Ripon.

He also said, ‘During the rescue of Ripon, his father Abdul Khalek was seriously injured.’

Lawyer Md. Saidur Rahman Saikat said that Abdul Khalek was rescued and admitted to Singra Upazila Health Complex and on the same day Abdul Khalek’s son Ripon Ali filed a case at Singra Police Station. Thana police asked to settle among themselves without taking the case.

Abdul Khalek returned home from the hospital on May 27. After that, when he fell ill again, he was admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital on June 5. Abdul Khalek died on June 8 while undergoing treatment there.

According to the concerned sources, after the death of Abdul Khalek, the OC of Singhra police station took up the case. On May 9, Abdul Khalek was buried without an autopsy.

After the investigation of the case, the charge sheet was given mentioning the fighting incident, but the investigating officer and Singra Police Inspector (Investigation) did not mention the death of Abdul Khalek. Rafiqul Islam.

Nilufa Begum, the wife of the deceased, filed a murder case in the court as there was no mention of murder in the police charge sheet.

OC Nur Alam and Inspector (Investigation) will appear in court on September 7 to find out the reason for the delay in taking the case at Singra Police Station and why the murder was not mentioned in the charge sheet even after the death of Abdul Khalek. The court ordered Rafiqul Islam to give a written explanation.
