Dhaka: Shaun Teda (22), the husband who was stabbed by his wife Sumaiya during a family quarrel in the Banani seven-story slum area of ​​the capital, died while undergoing treatment.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Banani police station Noore Azam Mia confirmed this information on Thursday (September 1) afternoon.

OC Noore Azam said that around 8 pm on Wednesday, Banani stabbed her husband Shaon with a knife due to a family dispute in a house in the seven-story slum area. Later, when he was admitted to Dhaka Medical Hospital in an injured condition, Shaon died at around 1.30 am.

Shaon is a resident of a village in Patuakhali Sadar Upazila. He was currently living with his wife Sumaiya in that seven-story slum. He was a mini truck driver by profession.

Meanwhile, Shaon’s cousin Kabir Hossain said that Shaon has a son and a wife in the village house. He got married for the second time last 10 months. Since then there was no contact with anyone.

OC Nure Azam also said that initially it was known that Shawon married Sumaiya 10 months ago by hiding the information of his previous wife. Due to this family strife arises. Sumaiya has been arrested. The case is pending. The body has been kept at Dhaka Medical College Mortuary for post-mortem.
