Reliance Jio is rumored to increase its mobile recharge prices once again. At the same time, this organization can increase the price of the tariff. Such information has been found in a report. A foreign research firm called Jefferies, which is associated with the stock market, has claimed this.
Why is it thought that Jio will raise the price of mobile recharge again?
Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, said at their company’s annual general meeting that the company is going to invest Rs 2 lakh crore to launch 5G services. And then Jeffries thinks so. They feel that if Jio has to invest this huge amount then they will have to increase their tariff charges. There is no other way.
What has been reported by Jefferies?
Jefferies claimed in a report that the company was earning an average of Rs 150 per customer in 2021-22. The company’s average revenue per customer will then rise to Rs 200, and Jefferies is claiming that Jio will raise its tariffs again by 2025. But this is possible only when prepaid and postpaid tariffs are increased.
A few days ago, the 5G spectrum auction ended in the country. And after this auction, there is a possibility of increasing the tariff. The Adani Group along with three major telecom companies of the country, Jio, Airtel, Vodafone Idea, bid a total of Rs 1,50,173 crore for this auction. And that’s why every telecom company is supposed to increase their tariff rates.
Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, bid Rs 88,078 crore for Reliance Jio. The company is going to launch 5G services in major cities of the country before Diwali. Not only Reliance Jio, other telecom companies will also launch 5G services by October 12. And they will have to increase their revenue to get a return on the investment they will make for 5G services. And that is why the pressure is coming on these telecom companies to increase the mobile tariffs. And it will first target postpaid data rates and mobile tariffs. Airtel, Vodafone Idea along with Reliance Jio had all announced to increase their tariff rates earlier. And if this news is true, then every organization is preparing to increase the tariff of prepaid and postpaid. Such indications have been received from all telecom companies.
