A woman named Tanya Yasmin (40) died after falling from the roof of a building in Bhairab, Kishoreganj.
The incident took place on Wednesday (August 31) around 4 pm in an eight-story building named Sahara Tower owned by Abu Taher Miah in the city. Kalikaprasad area of Tanya upazila. Wife of Imran Mia. They lived on rent in that house.
According to local sources, locals rushed to the north side of Sahara Tower in the afternoon after hearing a loud noise. He saw a woman’s body lying on the ground. Husband school teacher Imran Mia rushed to identify his wife. After informing the police, the dead body of the woman was recovered from the spot and taken to the police station.
In this regard, Tanya’s husband Imran Mia said, ‘I am a school teacher. I live in a rented house in Kamalpur area of the city with my two sons and wife. My wife used to come out of the house in the middle of the night and come to Mor Bridge area in Natal. Then I would find it and take it home.’
He also said, ‘today after class, when I called home, the elder son picked up the phone and said that mother had left the house some time ago. Upon receiving the news, I immediately went out to find my wife. Later came in front of Sahara Tower and saw the frozen body of his wife lying on the ground. He was suffering from mental problems for 12 years.’
Bhairav Circle Office Assistant Superintendent of Police Rejuan Dipu told Jago News that a woman died after falling from the roof of an eight-storey building in the city. The victim’s shoes were found on the roof of the building. However, her husband claimed that she was suffering from mental problems for 12 years. He often went missing from home.
