Two people, including a school student, were killed in separate road accidents in Mugda and Gandaria of the capital. These accidents happened on Thursday night and Friday morning.
Md. Mahin Ahmed was the son of Masum Ahmed of Bajitpur Upazila in Kishoreganj and was a seventh standard student of Government Standard School. Mahin lived with his family in Mugda area.
The deceased’s elder brother Mahfuz Ahmed said that Mahin left home to meet a friend on Thursday night. He was seriously injured when he was hit by a Dhaka South City Corporation vehicle while walking on Mugda road around 9:30 pm.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dhaka Medical College (DMH) Hospital Police Outpost Bachchu Mia said, first he died while undergoing treatment at Mugda General Hospital and later at Dhaka Medical College (DMH) Hospital.

On the other hand, a woman was seriously injured when she was hit by an unidentified vehicle while crossing the road at Padma Bridge Railing Project Ghanti Ghar area of Gondaria police station in the capital.
The incident happened around 3 pm on Thursday.
Pedestrians rescued him with severe injuries and took him to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead around 4 am on Friday. The identity of the deceased was not immediately available.
In charge of DMK police outpost. Bachchu Mia said, the body has been kept in the hospital morgue. The matter has been informed to the concerned police station.
