Molly Rani Saha (46) was burnt by a candle while taking a selfie on her mobile phone while putting vermilion on the goddess’s head during Basanti Durga Puja. He died seven days after the incident.

Molly was under treatment at Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute for a week. He died around 2 am on Thursday. Temple priest Kanu Goswami and deceased’s husband Ashok Kumar Saha confirmed this information.

Molly Saha is the daughter of late police officer Birmuktijoddha Niranjan Chandra Saha and wife of Ashok Kumar Saha of Bangram area of ​​Gangadharpatti in Manikganj. He was working in a local insurance company.

According to local sources, Molly Rani Saha was trying to take a selfie while applying vermilion on the forehead of the goddess at the city’s Kalibari temple on the Dasami day of Basanti Durga Puja on the night of April 18. At the same time, the candle lamp was burning next to it. Molly Sahar’s saree caught fire from that candle. When his body was burnt in the fire, he was first taken to Manikganj 250-bed General Hospital. If the condition is critical, he is taken to Dhaka.

MetLife’s Shahnoor Agency Unit Manager Govind Kumar Sutradhar said Molly Saha used to work as MetLife’s Shahnoor Agency FA.

Quoting her husband, she said that more than 35 percent of Molly’s body was burnt. He died after undergoing treatment for burns for about a week. His only son is studying in Bangalore, India.

The deceased’s husband Ashok Kumar Saha said that his wife’s body has been kept in the hospital’s freezer. The body will be brought to Manikganj on Saturday after their son comes home.
