An auto driver named Rashedul Islam (50) died of heat stroke while miking at a clinic in Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat.

He died on Friday (April 26) afternoon at Chamter Hat market in Madati Union of the upazila. Deceased Rashedul Islam is the son of deceased Badr Uddin of Khordd Bichandai village of Dawabari union of Hatibandha upazila. Earlier he was a paper seller.

Locals said that on Friday morning, voter Golam Mritza went to Chamtar Hat market to mike the community clinic in an autorickshaw. In the afternoon he fell ill while going out to eat at a hotel in Chamterhat area. He later died on the spot when the locals rescued him.

Mahbubur Rahman, UP member of Ward No. 5 of Dauabari Union Parishad, said that Rashedul Islam went to mike in the local Chamtar market in this intense heat. He died after having lunch there.

Advocate Moshiur Rahman, Chairman of Dauabari Union Parishad, confirmed the truth and said that Rashedul fell ill due to extreme heat. Later he died of heat stroke there

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kaliganj Police Station Imtiaz Kabir said, I have come to know about the matter, inquiries are being made.
