An auto rickshaw driver named Rashedul Islam (50) died while going out for miking for a clinic in Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat. He died on Friday (April 26) afternoon at Chamtar market in Madati Union of the upazila. Locals fear, he died of heatstroke.

The deceased Rashedul Islam is the son of deceased Badr Uddin of Khordd Bichandai village of Dauabari union of Hatibandha upazila. He used to work as a paper seller.

Locals said that Sharedul Islam went to Chamtar Bazaar on Friday morning in an autorickshaw to conduct miking for a community clinic. He fell ill while going out to eat at a hotel in Chamterhat area in the afternoon. Later, Rashedul Islam died on the spot.

Mahbubur Rahman, UP member of Ward No. 5 of Dauabari Union Parishad, said that Rashedul Islam went to Chamtar Bazar for miking this summer. He died after having lunch.

Dawabari Union Parishad Chairman Advocate Moshiur Rahman said Rashedul Islam fell ill due to extreme heat. He is believed to have died of heatstroke.
