Five hours later, the body of the young man was recovered from the hole in the deep tubewell

The body of the young man named Roni Burman (25) was recovered 5 hours after he fell into a deep tube well in East Nejampur village of Nachol upazila of Chapainawabganj. His body was recovered by fire service personnel around 4pm on Friday (April 26).

Roni Burman is the son of Chaitanya Burman of Nizampur Union of Nachol Upazila.

According to locals, mentally unstable Roni Burman was roaming around near an abandoned deep tube well in Nejampur area around 11 am on Friday. At that time, because there was no cover of that tubewell, he fell into the pipe and went down. Later, when the locals informed the fire service, the fire service personnel started the rescue operation at around 11:30 pm.

Emdadul Haque, station officer in charge of Nachol Fire Service, told Dhaka Post that we started the rescue work around 11:30 a.m. after receiving the information. Later, another unit of Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila Fire Service joined us in the rescue work.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nachol Police Station. Tarekur Rahman Sarkar told Dhaka Post that fire service workers recovered Roni Burman’s body around 4:35 pm. Legal action will be taken after discussing with the family regarding the transfer of the dead body.
