Youth dies after falling into pipe in abandoned deep well

A mentally unstable young man named Roni Burman (23) died after falling into the pipe of an abandoned deep well in Nachole, Chapainawabganj. The fire service personnel recovered his body after trying for about 5 hours.

The incident took place at Nejampur in Nachol Upazila of the district on Friday around 11 am.

Roni Burman is the son of Chaitanya Burman of Nejampur village in Nachol upazila of district.

According to locals, mentally unstable Roni Burman was wandering around an abandoned deep tube well in Nejampur area around 11 pm. But as there was no cover on the mouth of the pipe of the abandoned tube well, Roni Burman fell into the pipe and sank down about 140 feet. Later, when the locals informed the fire service, the fire service personnel reached the spot at around 11:30 a.m. and started the rescue operation and after about 5 hours at around 4:30 p.m., the body of Roni Burman was recovered from the pipe.
