Afzal Matubbar was killed by electrocution

Barguna: A man named Afzal Matubbar (50) died due to electrocution in Barguna’s Taltali.

The incident took place on Friday (April 26) around 12 noon in Chhota Vaizora village of Barabagi union of the upazila.

The deceased Afzal was a resident of that village.

According to local sources, Afzal was repairing the electric fan (fan) of his house on Friday afternoon to get relief from the intense heat. At that time, he was accidentally electrocuted and seriously injured. Relatives rescued him and took him to Taltali Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.

Taltali Upazila Health Complex’s emergency department doctor Dr. Irene Alom said that Afzal died before being brought to the hospital. It is initially believed that he died of electrocution.

Taltali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC, Investigation) Ranjit Kumar Sarkar said, I visited the spot after getting the information. Further action will be taken based on the application of the family.
