A student named Mahia Akhter (17) died while playing on the roof of a four-storey madrasa building in Manikganj. The accident took place at the Ayesha Siddika Mahila Madrasa at the bus stand of Sadar Upazila on Friday (April 26) morning.

The deceased Mahia Akhtar is the daughter of Al Mamun of Bara Kaliakair area of ​​Singair in Manikganj. She was a student of Ayesha Siddiqa Mahila Madrasah, Department of Health.

Madrasah teacher Sharmin Akhter said that while playing sports on the roof of the madrasah during the morning class, he lost control and fell down from the fourth floor of the madrasah building. Later, he was rescued and taken to Manikganj 250-bed General Hospital with serious injuries. If the patient’s condition is critical, he is transferred to Dhaka Medical College (Dhamek) Hospital after first aid. Later he died on the way to Dhaka.

Madrasa Director. Moinuddin said it was a mere accident. While playing with three friends, the student lost her footing and fell down from the fourth floor and died.

He also said that there was a tin fence on the roof of the madrasa. But this accident happened because it was not strong.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Manikganj Sadar Police Station. Habil Hossain said that the police were sent to the spot after receiving the information. No one complained to the police in this incident. Legal action will be taken if complaints are received.
