On Friday (April 26) several markets in the capital were seen selling long eggplants at Tk 60-70 per kg, round eggplants at Tk 70-80, tomatoes at Tk 60-70, corolla at Tk 70-80, chichinga at Tk 60-70, rinds at Tk 40- 50 rupees. Depending on the quality and size, gourd was sold at Tk 50-70, cucumber at Tk 40-50, small size sweet pumpkin at Tk 100-120, jali at Tk 50-60, papaya at Tk 40-50, raw banana at Tk 90 per dozen, which during the last week was around Sold at the same price.
Meanwhile, potatoes are being sold at Tk 55-60, green chili at Tk 120, onion at Tk 60-70, garlic at Tk 180-200, ginger at Tk 200-220 per kg. However, the price varies slightly depending on the market.
Also, among vegetables, jute vegetables are being sold at 15-20, kalmi vegetables at 10-15, spinach at 10-15 taka, gourd vegetables at 30-40 taka, red vegetables at 15 taka, pui vegetables at 30-40 taka. However, the price of each vegetable is being reduced by Tk 5-10 in vans or sidewalk shops as compared to shops in the market.
On the other hand, discomfort remains in the fish and meat market. Broiler is being sold at 210-220 rupees per kg. Gold 320-350 taka. Once again the price of beef has exceeded 750 rupees.
In the fish market, tilapia is 220-230 and 200 to 240 taka depending on the size. Which was sold at almost the same price last week. Among other fish, the price of medium and large-scale farming of Rui, Katla and Mrigel fish starts from Tk 300 to Tk 400-450 per kg depending on the size.
