2 including school students were killed in separate road accidents in the capital

A school student was killed by a city corporation garbage truck in the capital’s Mugaday and a woman was killed by an unidentified vehicle in the Gandaria police station area. The deceased are the seventh grade students of Motijheel Government Ideal School. Mahin Ahmed (13) and a 60-year-old woman.

Mahin, a school student, died in a road accident at Mugda Madinabagh on Thursday (April 25) around 9:30 pm. Mahfuz Ahmed, the brother of the deceased student, said that Mahin left the house to go to a friend’s house in Mugday.

While walking on the road, a speeding city corporation garbage truck hit him. He fell down and was seriously injured. He was rescued from there, first taken to Mugda General Hospital and then taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital at 10:30 pm, where he died while undergoing treatment.

The deceased Mahin Kishoreganj Bajitpur upazila. Son of Masum Ahmed. Currently, Mugda’s uncle was living in a rented house with his family in Bhagane Gali. Garment accessories dealer. He was the second of three brothers and one sister.

On the other hand, a woman (60) was seriously injured when she was hit by an unidentified vehicle while crossing the road at Padma Bridge Railing Project Ghanti Ghar area under Gondaria police station of the capital on the same day. Pedestrians rescued him and took him to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead around 4 am on Friday. The victim has not been identified.
