Gazipur: The police recovered the bodies of husband and wife from a multi-storey building in Sreepur of Gazipur district. A note was recovered from the table. On Friday (April 26) morning, Mulaid village of Sadar Upazila of Gazipur district. Their two bodies were recovered from a one-room flat on the ground floor of Farooq Khan’s multi-storied building.
The deceased Md. Israfil (17) of Jhenaigati Thanan Haldi village of Sherpur district. Mofizul Haque’s son and Mocha. Rokeya Khatun (15) is the daughter of Abul Kashem of Pastari village of Ishwarganj police station in Mymensingh district.
It is known that they got married 7 to 8 months ago without the consent of the family. Both of them are from Mulaid village in Sreepur. Farooq Hossain lived on the ground floor of a multi-storied building. Israfil worked in a local workshop and Rokeya in a local factory.
Brother of the deceased Rocare. Borhan Uddin said that they got married 7 to 8 months ago against the permission of the family. Their relationship is going well. Recently, Israfil left home after quarreling with his parents. Later on Thursday they were explained and brought home. I got news of their death in the morning.
Mofizul Haque, the father of the deceased Israfil, said that on Friday morning, he found the door of Israfil’s flat open and went inside to find Israfil hanging wrapped in a veil and Rokeya’s body on the bed. A note was later found on the side.
It was written in the note, parents, forgive me, I could not stay with you. My life hangs for me. So I couldn’t stay. I don’t blame anyone. No one is at fault. My soul is waiting for me. Everyone will be fine. Md. Israfil. Mother, bury Rocare next to me, mother. Mother, I don’t know why my life was leaked. I am fully responsible for that. No one is at fault.
Sripur Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Md. Sakhawat Hossain said that the bodies of the husband and wife were recovered after receiving information. It is initially believed that the wife committed suicide first. The husband also committed suicide as he could not bear the wife’s suicide. Legal action in this regard is under process.
