Bank Closed Today: From today to April 26, for the next two to three days, various banks in the country will remain closed for various reasons. Banks will be closed (Bank Holiday) for three consecutive days starting from today in many cities of the country. Even if you go, you will not work for these three days. Bank holiday for 3 consecutive days

Banking services will be closed in various parts of the country on Friday, April 26 for the second phase of Lok Sabha polls (Bank Holiday). It is reported that banks will remain closed in all places where general elections are going on today. After today, banks will be closed tomorrow as tomorrow is the fourth Saturday of April and all banks are closed on Sunday across the country. As a result, banks will remain closed for three consecutive days on April 26, April 27 and April 28.

Notifications have been issued in some states

According to the Reserve Bank holiday list, banks will be closed today in several cities due to the second phase of Lok Sabha elections. Among those cities are – Bengaluru, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Jammu. In many states this holiday has been issued by the state government due to polls. Karnataka has announced public holidays on April 26 and May 7 due to Lok Sabha polls.

Voting for 89 constituencies in 13 states of the country under the 2024 Lok Sabha polls is going on today. Banks will remain closed today in these states. Check the list of closed banks in which states.

Assam: Karimganj, Silchar, Mangaldoi, Navagang, Kaliabor

Bihar: Kishanganj, Katihar, Purnia, Bhagalpur

Chhattisgarh: Rajnandgaon, Mahasmund, Kenker

Jammu and Kashmir: Jammu

Karnataka: Udupi, Chikmagalur, Hassan, Chitradurga, Dakshina Kannada, Manda, Mysore, Chamarajanagar, Bangalore, Chikballapur, Kolar

Kerala: Kasaragod, Kannur, Bhatkara, Venad, Kozhikode, Thrissur, Palakkad, Alathur, Ernakulam, Edukki, Kottayam etc.

West Bengal: Darjeeling, Raiganj, Balurghat

Lok Sabha polls are also held today in Maharashtra, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh. And so banks will be closed here too. Banks will be closed for three consecutive days today, tomorrow and Sunday, April 28.
