A college student named Jawahar Amin Laden (18) died after being injured in a road accident while attending his cousin’s wedding ceremony at Baraigram in Natore. Earlier, two people were killed in the accident. With this, the death toll has increased to 3.
Jawahar Amin Laden died on Wednesday (April 24) night while undergoing treatment at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. He is the son of Madrasa teacher Maulana Ruhul Amin of Gopalpur village in Baraigram.
Earlier, Jawahar Amin Laden, Aqib Hasan and Khairul Bashar Chagir were injured in a motorcycle accident while attending a sister’s wedding ceremony in Dhamaniapara village on April 15. Akib Hasan and Khairul Bashar Chagir later died while undergoing treatment in the hospital. The deceased are cousins.
Baraigram Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shafiul Azam Khan said, going to sister’s wedding ceremony, three brothers along with Jawahar went for a ride on motorcycles. All three were injured when they lost control on the way and collided with an electric pole. When the relatives got the news, they rescued them and admitted them to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, where all three died one by one.
