Tangail: It has been alleged that a teenager named Saim (14) was killed in an attack by a juvenile gang in Gosai Joair area of Tangail Sadar Upazila.
The incident happened on Thursday (April 25) evening.
The deceased’s family and local residents said that in the evening, Saim left the house saying that he was going to a place called Ranagacha (next to the house) of Gharinda Union of Tangail Sadar Upazila. Later his friends caught Sime and brought him home. When Saim’s mother asked what had happened to her son, they said that he had fallen from the loft (a sitting area made of bamboo) and was in pain. Later, while pouring water on his head, the relatives saw blood coming out of his chest. Later, he was rushed to Tangail Sadar Hospital where the doctor declared him dead.
The deceased’s uncle Sohag said that Saim was murdered. But what happened to kill my nephew?
Tangail Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) Sharfuddin said, initially we cannot say anything. I spoke to the relatives of the deceased. I can give details about this later.
