Father and son killed in trolley-motorcycle collision in Satkhira

A father and son were killed in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a trolley in Satkhira. The accident took place near Agardari Madrasa on Kadamtala-Baikari road under Sadar Upazila on Thursday (April 25) night.

The deceased are – Md. Baikari village of Satkhira Sadar upazila. Hafizur Rahman Bulu (65) and his son. Abdul Aziz (25).

Police and locals said that Hafizur Rahman Bulu and his son Abdul Aziz were returning to their home in Baikari village of Satkhira from Dhaka on a motorcycle. On the way, their motorcycle collided head-on with a speeding trolley when they reached in front of Agardari Madrasa on Kadamtala-Baikari road under Sadar upazila around 10:30 pm on Thursday. The father and son on the motorcycle died on the spot. At this time the trolley lost control and fell into the ditch on the side of the road.

Satkhira Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohidul Islam said that the bodies of the victims were recovered and sent to the morgue of Satkhira Sadar Hospital. After the post-mortem, the bodies will be handed over to the two families.
