Her husband planned to kill the dancer Khadija Khatun Mitu Karmakar because she captured intimate pictures of husband and wife on her mobile phone and released them on social media through TikTok and demanded money several times. Mrinmoy Bhadra Niloy, accused in the murder case, said this in his confessional statement in the Jessore court on Thursday (April 25). The matter has been confirmed by Peshkar Sarwar Hossain of the concerned court.
Nasima Begum, the wife of Azgar Ali of Dhandia village of Patkelghata upazila of Satkhira, the mother of the victim, filed a case against Niloy at Jessore Kotwali police station on April 24.
On April 24, the police recovered the body of Khadija Khatun Mitu Karamkar from the bank of Bukwara Baor in Mathbari village of Jessore Sadar Upazila. Mitu is the daughter of Ajgar Ali of Dhandia village in Patkelghata upazila of Satkhira.
In his confession in the Jessore Chief Judicial Magistrate Court Mrinmoy Bhadra Niloy said that Khadija Khatun Mitu is his ex-wife. Mitu was a dancer. She met and married Niloy a few years ago. But before marriage Mitu was not a follower of Sanatan Dharma. At the time of marriage, he adopted the Sanatan religion. After living with him for a while, Mitu’s relationship with Niloy deteriorated about three years ago. Mitu took a lot of money from Niloy at that time. After a few days, she again left traditional religion and accepted Islam and married another boy. But despite leaving Niloy three years ago, Mitu captured some of the intimate moments of the husband and wife on his mobile phone. And those pictures have taken money from Niloy several times by threatening to release them on social media through Tik Tok. Because of that, Niloy plans to kill Mitu. On the evening of April 23, Niloy came to Jessore with Mitu from Patkelghata in Satkhira. After that, around 11:00 PM, Niloy went to the side of Bukvara Baor and strangled her to death, leaving the dead body there. But Mitu’s used mobile phone is lying there. The next morning, the villagers saw the body lying there and reported it to the police station, and the police went and rescued it. Then the killer Mrinmoy was arrested.
Nasima Begum, the mother of Mitu, who was killed in the incident, filed a case at Kotwali police station. He said that 9 years ago his daughter Khadija was married to a young man named Rafiqul Islam Babu alias Chor Babu in Satkhira Sadar. A daughter named Maryam Sultana was born in their married life. He is currently eight years old. But after the birth of the girl, Khadija’s husband left her and went elsewhere. After that, he dances and sings in various events to earn a living. And while dancing and singing, he met Mrinmoy Bhadra Niloy. Niloy used to take Khadija with him on various occasions. Besides, Niloy used to travel to their house sometimes. And many people knew Khadija as Madhavi in dance song. Besides, after seeing some pictures and videos taken by Khadija with Niloy, many people said that your daughter converted and got married to Niloy. But when Khadija was asked, she would deny it.
Last April 23 around 6 pm, Niloy left with Khadija as he had work to do in an event. Then when he called at 8 pm, Khadija said that she would be late to go home. When calling at night, his mobile was found to be switched off. Then on the morning of April 24, local member Anichur Gazi said that Khadija’s body was recovered by Jessore police. He came to the hospital and identified the girl’s body.
