Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has once again reduced the price of gold by Tk 629 per bar.

The agency fixed the price of good quality 22 carat gold at Tk 1 lakh 13 thousand 560 per bullion on Thursday (April 25) after the price fell in the local bullion market.

Earlier yesterday (April 24), Bajus had reduced the price of gold by 2 thousand 99 taka to 1 lakh 14 thousand 190 taka.

With this, the apex organization of gold traders changed the price of gold for the eighth time in April.

According to Bajus, the new rates are effective from 3:50 pm on Thursday.

Bajus Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring chairman Masudur Rahman signed a notification to reduce the price of the organization announced.

According to the new price, the price of 22 carat gold will be Tk 1 lakh 13 thousand 560 per load at the rate of Tk 9736 per gram.

Apart from this, the price of 21 carat gold has been fixed at 1 lakh eight thousand 405 taka per load, the price of 18 carat gold has been fixed at 92 thousand 915 taka per load and the price of traditional gold has been set at 74 thousand 801 taka.

Silver prices remain unchanged even as gold prices fall. According to the category, currently the price of 22 carat silver is 2 thousand 100 taka, 21 carat is 2 thousand 6 taka, 18 carat is 1 thousand 175 taka and traditional style silver is 1 thousand 283 taka.
