Sujit Mondal, Kalyani: A man was returning home by bike after taking his son from tuition. Suddenly a four-wheeler came and hit the bike hard (Bike accident). As a result, the person fell on the road and died on the spot. Later, the son died while undergoing treatment at the hospital. The tragic road accident took place on Thursday near IT park on Kalyani Expressway in Kalyani area of Nadia district.
According to police sources, 46-year-old Arup Kumar Das, a resident of Kanchrapara, North 24 Parganas, was riding his bike along the Kalyani Expressway from JIS junction to Buddha Park after completing his son’s tuition on Thursday. At the same time a four-wheeler was coming towards Buddha Park from the same direction. Suddenly the four-wheeler lost control and hit Arup Babu’s bike hard. Due to which he immediately fell down on the road and died. On seeing the matter, the locals rescued his son Aynak in a serious condition and admitted him to Jaharlal Nehru Medical College of Medicine and Hospital in Kalyani. But, soon after reaching there, the doctors declared Ayanak dead. A shadow of grief has fallen over the issue.

In the meantime, the police have started the investigation of the incident besides starting the search for the killer car. This is not just an accident but there is some other reason behind it. It is said that it is being investigated. Meanwhile, the grieving witnesses saw the accident happening before their eyes.
Among them, an eyewitness named Sion Das said that the person named Arup Kumar Das was riding a bike with his son from the direction of JIS intersection towards Buddha Park. Suddenly a four wheeler coming from the same direction hit the bike. This resulted in tragic road accidents.
