ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – Officially Completes $4.65 Billion Acquisition of Walton-Penner Group One of the biggest items on the Denver Broncos’ business to-do list for 2022 is addressing the team’s uniform issues.
Owner and CEO Greg Penner has promised a thorough, patient overhaul of the team’s uniforms, which haven’t undergone any major overall changes since 1998. The team revealed the changes on Monday, closer to unveiling week.
The official announcement will be made at Mile High’s Empower Field on Monday at 5 p.m.
“I’m really excited, it’s time to make a change,” Penner said last month. “We thought we had something that would pay homage to the Broncos and satisfy our fans that would incorporate elements of Colorado.” Kelly (Walton Penner) is deeply involved, myself, the coaches (and some of our players) are involved, and we’re getting a lot of feedback from the fans as well. The new jerseys feature several references to the Rocky Mountain triangle on the sleeves and on the jersey number, as well as several references to the city’s 5,280-foot elevation on the uniforms.
The primary helmet is navy blue with the current Broncos logo, the backup helmet has a white metallic finish. Monday morning’s presentation featured four identical combinations: orange jerseys with orange pants, orange with blue, blue with blue and blue with white.
There are also many returns that fans would like to see included in the new outfit. The team will have a throwback orange uniform that includes the “D” helmet logo that the team wore during the 1977 season, when the Broncos advanced to the franchise’s first of eight Super Bowls behind an Orange Crush defense.
Linebacker Randy Gradisher, one of the defense’s standout players, will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2024 in August.

Team officials said more than 10,000 team fans provided feedback during the process, and Penner led a team at Nike headquarters in Oregon a year ago.
