Patashpur, Pankaj Das Rathi: Terrible road accident in Potashpur. An old man riding a trekker died in a head-on collision between a trekker and a tractor. 6 more people were injured. Deceased Sheikh Abul’s (61) house in Amarshi.
According to police sources, a trekker was traveling from Agra at a reckless speed around 7:30 pm on Thursday. A tractor loaded with a harvester was coming from the opposite direction near the saw mill adjacent to Teparpara bus stand on Bajkul State Highway.

Allegedly, while passing a bike, the trekker lost control and hit the tractor head on. Elderly Sheikh Abul, who was riding the trekker, died on the spot.
The remaining six injured people were rescued and admitted to Potashpur Rural Hospital. Police have recovered two vehicles involved in the accident. Locals claim that this accident was caused by illegal sawmills occupying the footpath.
