Six of the 9 people killed in the road accident near Rangamati live in Mymensingh. Five of them are residents of Ishwarganj and one of Gouripur. It is said that all the dead were construction workers.
Earlier, on Wednesday (April 24) evening, the truck overturned and fell into a ditch on the Sajek-Udaipur border road in the ninety degree area of Sajek.
The deceased in Mymensingh are Ershadul (42) son of Riachat Ali Bhuiya of Keshabpur village of Barahit union of Ishwarganj upazila, Shah Alam (28) son of Shahidullah of Giridharpur village of Tarundia union, Tofazzal Hossain (21) son of Chan Mia of Srifurjithor village of the same union, Nayan Mia (20) son of Helal Uddin. ), Mohan Mia (17) son of Nazrul Islam and Tapu Hasan (17) son of Abdul Jabbar of Mailakanda area of Gouripur Upazila.

On Thursday (April 25), it was found that the body did not reach home, but the family is mourning. A shadow of mourning has descended on the area.
Chairman of Tarundia Union Parishad Hasan Mahmud Rana told Jago News that four of the 9 people who died in Sajek’s accident belong to my union. I myself am very saddened by this incident.
Chairman of Barahit Union Azizul Haque Bhuiyan told Milan Jago News, “Ershadul Sajek, son of Riashat Ali Bhuiyan of Keshabpur village of my union, died in a road accident. I heard that he is returning home with the body.’
Ishwarganj Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Ariful Islam Prince told Jago News that 10,000 taka has been given to each family by the upazila administration and upazila parishad through the local UP chairmen for the burial of the deceased. All support will be given to the families of the deceased as per the rules.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gouripur Police Station Suman Chandra Roy told Jago News that one person from Mailakanda Union died in the accident. Another person was injured. Relatives have left for home with the body.
