5 lakhs for the dead and 2 lakhs for the injured

Baghaichhari Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shirin Akhter said that BRTA will give Tk 5 lakh to each of those killed in the road accident in the 90 degree area of ​​Sajek of Baghaichhari in Rangamati and Tk 2 lakh to the injured. Besides, he said that upazila administration will pay Tk 10,000 for the transportation of the body.

The Upazila Nirbahi Officer told reporters these things when he came to meet the injured in the accident at Khagrachari Modern District Headquarters Hospital on Thursday (April 25).

Earlier, the police brought the bodies of 5 people from Sajek Police Station to Khagrachari Modern District Headquarters Hospital around 9:30 am. Additional Superintendent of Police of Baghaichhari Police Circle Abdul Awal Chowdhury said that the 9 deceased will be handed over to their families after the autopsy.

Among the injured, Ahir Uddin and his son Samiul, who are undergoing treatment at Khagrachari Modern District Sadar Hospital, were shifted to Dhaka in the morning for better treatment.

Resident Medical Officer of Khagrachari Modern District Sadar Hospital Ripple Bappi Chakma said that currently 4 people are under treatment in Khagrachari Sadar Hospital.
