The body of a bank official named Azam Khan (46) was removed from the grave after 15 days of burial in Mirsrai, Chittagong. Later it was sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Police exhumed the body in the presence of Mirsrai Executive Magistrate Assistant Commissioner (Land) on Wednesday (April 24) noon. At that time, the plaintiff Azam Khan’s younger sister Nargis Akhtar and relatives were present.

According to the case and police sources, Azam Khan and his wife were injured in a family quarrel and fight. Later that picture spread on social media Facebook. Two days after the incident, Bank Asia Feni branch manager Azam Khan died on April 9.

Azam Khan’s death from the hospital was said to be a heart attack, but the victim’s sister Nargis Akhtar challenged it and filed a murder case against four people including wife Kamrun Nahar (36), wife’s elder sister Lutfar Nahar (39), elder sister’s son Tanveer (31) and wife’s brother Farooq. Police arrested Azam Khan’s wife Kamrun Nahar in that case. He is currently in jail.

Officer in charge of Nizampur Police Investigation Center Police Inspector Md. Masud Khan said, after receiving the order of the court, we took the body of the bank official Azam Khan from the grave and made a status report in front of an executive magistrate on Wednesday afternoon. The body was then sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
