In the space of a day, the price of gold in the country’s market has further decreased. The best quality i.e. 22 carat gold has been reduced by Tk 2 thousand 139. As a result, the price of good quality gold has increased to 1 lakh 14 thousand 151 taka.

This information was informed in a circular signed by Masudur Rahman, chairman of the price determination and price monitoring standing committee of Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) on Wednesday.

According to the notification, this price has been reduced in view of the decrease in the price of acid gold (seasoned gold) in the local market. The new prices will be effective from 4:50 PM on Wednesday.

According to the new price, the best quality i.e. one load of 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold will cost Tk 1 lakh 14 thousand 151.

The price of 21 carat gold has been reduced by Tk 1 thousand 995. A load of gold of this quality will cost 1 lakh 9 thousand taka.

The price of 18 carat gold bars has been reduced by 1 thousand 714 taka. It will take 93 thousand 429 taka to buy a load of gold of this quality.

Apart from this, the price of one load of traditional gold has been reduced from 1 thousand 377 taka to 75 thousand 209 taka.

Earlier, Bajus had increased the price of gold on April 6, 8 and 18 of this month. Among them, it was increased on April 6 by Tk 1750, on April 8 Tk 1750 and on April 18 Tk 2065. Later, on April 20, a day after the reduction of Tk. 840, it was increased to Tk. 630 again on April 21. After that, Bajus reduced the charge by Tk 3138 and Tk 2099 in two consecutive rounds.
