Heat wave warning in four districts of the state today and tomorrow. At least until Saturday, there is a risk of heat wave in 17 districts. Several districts may be affected by severe heat wave. Not only South Bengal but also the North is affected by the heat wave. Mausam Bhavan says there is no hope of getting relief in the remaining days of April.

In this direction, the heat has practically started increasing since this morning. At six o’clock in the morning, South Bengal is slowly heating up under the rays of the beating sun. It goes without saying that the heat will increase as the day progresses. The Alipore Meteorological Department has said that the temperature is likely to increase by 4 degrees in several districts of South Bengal. In case of Kolkata, the temperature is likely to increase by 2 degrees. Most significantly, Alipur Meteorological Office is not able to predict any rain even though the heat is increasing.

According to Alipur Meteorological Office, there is a heatwave warning in 11 districts on Wednesday. The list includes districts like West Burdwan, North 24 Parganas, West Medinipur, Jhargram, Purulia, Bankura, Hooghly, East Burdwan, Birbhum, Murshidabad, Nadia. However, Howrah, Kolkata will get relief from the heat wave on Wednesday. However, the highest temperature rise will be seen over the weekend. A big jump in temperature can be seen on Friday and Saturday.
