Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has announced to reduce the price of gold again within 24 hours. The price of good quality gold has been reduced by 2 thousand 100 rupees. Now the price of a 22 carat gold bar has reduced by 1 lakh 14 thousand 190 taka. Earlier the price was 1 lakh 16 thousand 290 taka.

This information was informed in a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, Chairman of the Bajus Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee on Wednesday (April 24). According to the organization, the price of acid gold has decreased in the local market. The new price of gold has been fixed keeping in view the overall situation. The new prices will be effective from 4:50 PM on April 24.

Earlier on Tuesday Bajus announced to reduce the price of gold by 3 thousand 138 taka. On this day, the price of a 22 carat gold bar decreased by 1 lakh 16 thousand 290 taka. Earlier the price was 1 lakh 19 thousand 428 taka. These prices were effective from 4 PM on Tuesday.

As per the new prices announced today, best quality or 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold is priced at Tk 1 lakh 14 thousand 190, 21 carat gold at Tk 1 lakh 9 thousand, 18 carat at Tk 93 thousand 428 and traditional method gold. The price will be 75 thousand 209 taka.

Meanwhile, the price of gold has been increased but the price of silver has been kept unchanged. According to the category, currently the price of 22 carat silver is 2 thousand 100 taka, 21 carat is 2 thousand 6 taka, 18 carat is 1715 taka and the price of traditional silver is 1 thousand 283 taka.
