A child Sujan (8) died of burns due to an explosion from the leakage of a gas cylinder while catching a coil in the culvert road number 13 area of ​​Bhashantek, Mirpur of the capital. With this, the death toll in the explosion increased to five.

Sujan died on Wednesday (April 24) around 2:15 pm while undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Center (ICU) of the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

He said that six people, including women and children, were admitted to the emergency department of the burn unit with burns from Mirpur’s Bhashantech. Meanwhile, child Sujan died in the ICU at noon today. 43 percent of his body was burnt. Before this, Meherunnecha died on April 13, Surya Banu on April 15, Liton on April 16 and baby Lamia died in the morning of April 19. Five people have died in this incident so far. Lisa is currently undergoing treatment in the burn unit with 30 percent burns.

It should be noted that the explosion happened last Friday (April 12) in the early hours of the night. Later, around 5:30 AM, they were rescued and brought to the emergency department of Sheikh Hasina’s National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
