A prisoner named Asaduzzaman Sohel (38) died in Dhaka Central Jail.
On Wednesday (April 24) around 2 pm, he was rescued unconscious and brought to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
The prison guard who took Hajti Asaduzzaman to the hospital. Sujan said that Hajti suddenly fell ill at noon today. Later, on the instructions of the prison authorities, when he was taken to Dhaka Medical, the doctor in charge of the emergency department declared him dead at around two in the afternoon.
He also said that I cannot say in which case he was in jail as a prisoner. His Hajti No-13188/24. His father’s name is Abdul Awal Bepari.
Inspector in charge of DMK Hospital Police Camp Bachchu Mia said that the body has been kept at the morgue of Dhaka Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. A post-mortem report will be prepared in the presence of an executive magistrate. After the post-mortem, the prison authorities will hand over the body to the family.
