Lover killed by strangulation in Jessore, lover arrested

Mitu (25) was brought from Satkhira to Jessore by her boyfriend Mrinmoy. This murder happened sometime on Tuesday night.
On Wednesday (April 24) around 10:30 pm, the police recovered his body from the embankment of Bukwara Baor, Mathbari, Deyara Union, Sadar Upazila.
In this incident, the DB police arrested Mrinmoy’s lover. He is the son of Madan Kumar of Chandutia village. He is being interrogated.
Locals said that the woman’s body was lying next to a paddy field near the embankment on Wednesday morning. She was wearing a new saree and had a branch in her hand. Later they informed the local public representative and police.
Members of the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) said that two mobile phones were lying next to the dead body of the Hindu woman. After he was killed, two phones were broken. PBI members also said that efforts are being made to identify his real name through fingerprints.
DB SI Khan Maidul Islam said that Mitu was once a Muslim. The house is in Patkelghata, Satkhira. Earlier her name was Khadija. Later he converted to Hinduism. Khadija became Mitu.
SI Maidul Islam also said that Mrinmoy of Chandutia lives in Patkelghata. Mrinmoy develops a love relationship with Mitu. He came to Jessore with his lover. After that, he was strangled to death and his body was left in the fence of Mathbari Bukvara Baor, a village near his house. Mrinmoy was arrested from his home. He is being interrogated. Anisur Rahman, chairman of Deyaara Model Union, said that the DB has arrested a man named Mrinmoy of Chandutia village on suspicion of being involved in the murder of the woman. The incident of being seduced and killed by love is sad.
Jessore Kotwali Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC Investigation) Rafiqul Islam said that the body of the victim was recovered and sent to Jessore 250-bed General Hospital for post-mortem. Details will be given after investigating the incident.
