Husband accused of suffocating wife arrested after accusing her of adultery in Sandwip

Elias Sumon. Sandwip: A young man strangled his wife to death in Chittagong’s Sandwip. He has been arrested and sent to jail for killing his wife. The name of the young man is Samar Jaldas (33). He is a resident of Beribandh area of ​​Ward No. 5 of Sarikait Union.

According to the details of the case and local sources, accused Samar Jaldas was married to the deceased victim Monika Jaldas (22) 7 years ago.

A few days after the marriage, the victim started physically and mentally torturing her on various pretexts as she was slightly ill. Last April 20 morning, a meeting was held under the leadership of member Chanu. In the meeting, Samar accused his wife of adultery. In the arbitration meeting, Samar was blamed and the Chanu member slapped him. Later, when the members of the arbitration meeting left, Samar got angry and strangled his wife. A case of murder was registered in this regard at Sandwip police station. The victim’s mother Anika Jaldas filed the case as the plaintiff.

The investigating officer of the case, police sub-inspector of Sandwip police station Md Main Uddin Bhuiyan said that the husband Samar was absconding after the case was registered after strangling his wife. On April 23, he was arrested from the local seashore on the basis of tip-off. In the interrogation, Samar Jaldas said that he got angry and confirmed the death of his wife by suffocation.

When asked about this, the officer in charge (OC) of Sandwip police station said. Kabir Hossain PPM said that after getting the facts of the incident, the accused was arrested and brought under the law. And being remanded for one day for questioning, he admitted killing his wife in his confession and was sent to prison by the learned court.
