A Rohingya leader named Syedul Amin (45) was hacked to death by terrorists in Ukhia, Cox’s Bazar. The incident took place in front of the mosque of Camp-2/Wor D-Block of Kutupalong camp in Ukhia around 9:30 on Tuesday night.

The officer in charge (OC) of Ukhia police station confirmed the matter. Shamim Hossain.

The deceased Syedul Amin is the son of Ashraf Ali of Camp-2/W A-11 Block of Kutupalong Camp. He was performing the duty of Majhir (leader) of that camp.

OC Md. Shamim Hossain said that the unknown terrorists found Syedul Amin in front of the mosque of Camp-2/W D-Block around 9:30 on Tuesday night and ran away after injuring him. Later, when he was brought to the hospital, the doctor on duty declared him brought dead.

On receiving the information, the Ukhia police station went to the spot and prepared the body. The body has been sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The police officer also said that the law and order situation is normal at present.
