An emergency meeting of Bangladesh Online Media Association (BOMA) has been held. The meeting was held on Monday (April 22) at 8 pm at ‘The Asian Age’ office at Farmgate in the capital. In the meeting, it was decided to organize a seminar at the National Press Club in the middle of May on the occasion of the Eid meeting of Bangladesh Online Media Association, World Free Media Day, on Friday, 3rd May, at Shi-Cell Park, Purbachal. A decision has been taken to publish a souvenir on this occasion. Two separate sub-committees have been formed to make these activities successful and worthwhile.

In the meeting, it was decided to form a committee with 11 members for the period after the general meeting and before the elections. Later M. Shoaib Chowdhury, chairman of the editorial board of Asian Age newspaper, was unanimously nominated as the advisor of Bangladesh Online Media Association.

Bangladesh Online Media Association Acting President AKM Shariful Islam Khan presided over the emergency meeting. The acting editor of ‘The Asian Age’, Boma’s advisor, prominent media personality Salim Omrao Khan, chairman of the editorial board of The Asian Age M Shoaib Chowdhury were present in it.

The meeting was presided over by BOM General Secretary, Shahadat Swapan. Finance editor of Bangladesh Online Media Association and publisher of Tarang News Delwar Hossain, Lion Akhtaruzzaman, cultural editor of the organization Hamid Roni, Jewel Anand, Iqbal Bhuiyan Mohammad Sahil and others were also present.
